There’s an unspoken thing about being a photojournalist, or any journalist, in 2018. The creeping dread as the industry falls apart.
The other day I was advocating for more communication.
My platform is that if you only hear negative or neutral… You need to have a balance of praise and critique to grow. You will only be able to properly receive constructive criticism inside of a well-rounded relationship.
And then later the question came to mind as I questioned myself for even asking the main client for anything: Am I asking for drinks and peanuts on a plane that is hurtling toward the ground in a screaming nosedive?
