Perhaps the most striking comment in the report—and potentially the most damaging to mama’s efforts to promote the idea of a spaceport for Michigan—is a line from the executive summary: “the annual revenue generated from a launch cadence of one rocket launch per week in Michigan would have the same revenue impact in the State equal to the annual revenue of two additional fast-food chain restaurants.”

During a recent visit to NSO’s offices, windows and whiteboards across the space were dense with flowcharts and graphics, in Hebrew and English text, chronicling ideas for products and exploits. Nakamura beat the crafty Hungarian Grandmaster Richárd Rapport in the first of two semifinal matches. You just hold your breath.” At G.D.C., he was getting a lot of props for a tweet Aggro Crab had made earlier in the year, condemning the publisher of Going Under, Team17, for deciding to incorporate N.F.T.s into its games; the tweet had gone viral, and, facing backlash, Team17 had reversed its decision. “All the indies, and people I’ve been talking to, absolutely hate that stuff,” Kaman told me. “It really is just a grift. It’s a pyramid scheme. And it’s not like they do anything for games, right? I don’t know where that logic came from: we’re going to integrate games with the blockchain. What does that do for games? The point is to have fun, and we’re already doing that pretty well.”

Reviewing “Hard Kill,” a 2020 movie starring Willis as a tech C.E.O. whose daughter gets kidnapped, a critic for the Guardian described him as occupying “that grey area between zero fuss and not much effort.” This and other similarly disparaging assessments now exist in their own gray area, where public opinion of an actor’s craft meets public knowledge of his extenuating circumstances
