I played bass in a hardcore punk band called State of Confusion from Boise, Idaho (which morphed into the indie pop punk band Treepeople that relocated to Seattle in the late 80′s, later spawning Built to Spill, the Halo Benders, Violent Green, Stuntman)
State of Confusion played many shows in SLC during the 80′s, when the scene was at its climax, that were amazing.
I have been writing a music history and I am up to the SLC glory days, have been browsing around, found your page and wow. What an amazing collection, thank you for taking the time to share these great shots with the world.
I clicked this link because it mentioned something about State of Confusion. I listened to them in jr high and high school. They played a lot in SLC. I was hoping to get in contact with someone that might be able to help me track down a vinyl copy. My friend had a copy of their record and I have it recorded on tape, but that’s about 17 or 18 years old. I would like to get a copy of the record if possible. Thanks for any help you might offer, Jeremiah.
